Flexible, permeable, gravity retaining structures.
A gabion box is a rectangular wire mesh container, filled on site with rock and stacked into a gravity retaining structure. Satyam manufactures them in double twisted hexagonal mesh, where each junction is locked by two turns of wire so the mesh holds even if a strand is damaged. Filled and stacked on site, the units form a structure that is flexible enough to settle with the ground instead of cracking against it, and permeable enough to let water pass through rather than build pressure behind it. The result is a retaining structure that goes up quickly, with simple preparation, and lasts.
Manufactured in-house by Satyam from drawn and coated wire, woven and test certified before dispatch, gabion boxes are built for highway and railway embankments, river training and canal banks, bridge abutments, and slope and shoreline protection. Accountable from the wire to the finished box, and trusted across India.
Across highways, railways and waterways, slopes and embankments carry forces that move ground over time : erosion, settlement and the steady pressure of water behind them.
Across rural and irrigation infrastructure, canals lose water and ground to erosion while farmland needs durable, economical boundaries.
A gravity structure that flexes instead of cracking.
Each junction in the mesh is formed by twisting two wires together through two full turns before the hexagonal opening is shaped. If a strand is cut or corrodes through, the twist on either side of it holds, so the mesh does not unravel and the box keeps its shape under load. Filled on site with stone and stacked, the boxes settle with the ground rather than against it, and the open mesh lets water pass through rather than build pressure behind it.
Manufactured in-house by Satyam from soft-annealed, low-carbon wire, hot-dip galvanized and, for corrosive or aggressive ground, further coated in PVC, every batch is woven and test certified before dispatch. Double twisted hexagonal gabion boxes are built for river training, embankment protection and canal banks, and trusted across India.
Satyam Buildtech supplies gabion boxes for road and infrastructure projects, retaining structures, soil stabilisation, and erosion control works.
Yes. Gabion boxes offer an environmentally conscious alternative to conventional RCC structures, using natural stone filling and a porous design that supports water drainage and reduces surface runoff.
Choose PVC-coated gabion boxes for harsh, wet, or corrosive environments such as coastal areas and riverbanks, and galvanised iron (GI) boxes for standard, dry, or budget-conscious inland projects.
Satyam Buildtech gabion boxes are manufactured using double-twisted hexagonal wire mesh, available in 8×10 and 10×12 mesh configurations. We supply the specified wire diameter and selvedge wire for each configuration.
Share the box dimensions, mesh size, wire diameter, selvedge wire, coating requirement, quantity, and application. This lets us price your gabion boxes against the actual project specification rather than a generic one.
Yes. Gabion boxes for retaining structures are flexible, gravity-based and able to accommodate ground settlement. Their permeable construction also allows water to pass through the structure, which helps reduce water pressure behind the retained soil.
Yes. Gabion boxes for riverbank protection and embankment protection create stone-filled structures that shield exposed areas from erosion and water-related soil displacement. The permeable construction lets water pass through rather than build up behind the wall.
Yes. Satyam manufactures gabion boxes in-house, which gives the team direct control over production and product quality across every project.
Satyam follows batch-based quality testing for its gabion boxes. Every order is tested before dispatch to keep quality consistent, and test certificates are provided for the tested batches.
Satyam’s gabion boxes are manufactured in accordance with IS 16014 and ASTM A975, supporting consistent product quality and suitability for gabion applications.
