Satyam Buildtech manufactures mesh, gabion, fencing and geosynthetic products for India’s infrastructure sector. From an integrated facility of 4,00,000 sq. ft. in Mehsana, Gujarat, the company produces up to 1,000 metric tonnes a month across welded mesh, gabion, fencing and allied product lines.
Mr. Shivam Patel, a civil engineer and small contractor at the time, kept running into the same problem on his own sites. Welded mesh was hard to come by’ the handful of manufacturers around were stretched thin, and the quality showed it. He decided the better answer was to make it himself. With a single machine in a modest shed in Mehsana GIDC, and his brother working alongside him, he built the business one order at a time and, over the years, earned a name in Gujarat’s steel industry.
That integration is still what sets the company apart. From wire drawing and welding to weaving, powder coating and testing, nearly every stage of production happens in-house, supported by a fully automated coating line. Keeping the work under one roof is what lets Satyam Buildtech hold quality steady at volume, meet the lead times customers plan around, and stand behind every order it sends out.
Today its products are specified for projects run by some of India’s foremost government departments, infrastructure agencies and public institutions, with supply reaching projects in the UAE.
As the company found its feet, it grew. More machines, a bigger premises, and steadily a wider range, from welded mesh into AAC blocks, chain link, gabion boxes, 3D and 358 welded mesh, and more recently geogrid and geofabric. What began as one man and one machine is today a fully integrated operation of more than 250 people.
Our Journey
Founded with a single machine in a 500 sq. ft. shed in Mehsana GIDC
Expanded to multiple machines and a team of 20.
Moved to a larger facility and began AAC block manufacturing.
Grew to over 100 employees and entered markets across India.
Began gabion box manufacturing; team crossed 200.

Production at Satyam Buildtech is scheduled against live order data, so output stays matched to what customers need. Every major stage, from wire drawing and welding to weaving, powder coating and testing, is carried out in-house, which lets the plant hold output steady and meet the lead times customers rely on.

FOUNDER'S DESK
When I started Satyam Buildtech in 2007, I was a civil engineer and a contractor, and I kept running into the same problem on my own sites. Welded mesh was hard to source, there were too few manufacturers, and the quality you got reflected it. I decided the better answer was to make it myself.
We began with one machine in a small shed in Mehsana, my brother and I doing the work ourselves. The early years were not easy. But the idea behind the company was simple, and it held: control the work, so you can stand behind the quality.
That principle has carried us from a single machine to one of the more complete manufacturing operations of its kind in the country. We have added machines, products and people, but the way we think about the work has not changed. We make as much of it as we can ourselves, we test what we make, and we answer for every order that leaves our plant.
Infrastructure is built to last. The products that go into it should be held to the same standard. That is what we manufacture, every day.
